The Olympics and the Rising Sun Flag. -Why do Koreans hate the Rising Sun Flag?-

The Olympics and the Rising Sun Flag.

-Why do Koreans hate the Rising Sun Flag?-

Why do Koreans hate the Rising Sun Flag?

In fact, they don't hate the Rising Sun Flag. What are they hating?  They just hate Japan.

In South Korea, when the presidential approval rating falls, attacking Japan often uses as a political method in order to recover the presidential approval rating since President Syngman Rhee. That's how Koreans hate Japan so much.  For this reason, they looked for a something so they can humiliate Japan more.

And they found a good tool that could be used for bashing Japan in 2011. It's the Asahi (Rising Sun) flag.  The trigger was occurred during the Japan-Korea football match in the Asian Cup when a Korean football player, Ki Seong-yeon, was penalized for insulting Japan.

At that time, he said, “I was angry because I saw the Rising Sun Flag on the stand.”

Actually, at this time, there was no Rising Sun Flag on the stand. It was a lie, but Koreans realized that the Rising Sun Flag could be used as a tool for discount Japan.  Until that time, they didn't care about the Rising Sun Flag at all.

2002 FIFA World Cup T-shart

Since that time, FIFA recognized the use of the Rising Sun Flag as a provocative act against South Korea. However, the use of the Rising Sun Flag itself was not prohibited.

While Japan refrains from using the Rising Sun Flag during football matches, other people other than Japan also use the Rising Sun Flag to support their favor team.

South Korea, who misunderstood that Japan cannot use the Rising Sun Flag to support football matches, argued that the Rising Sun Flag was the same as the Harken Kreuz, which was a symbol of militarism.

The Rising Sun Flag started use as a military flag after 1870, and originally it has no meaning for a symbolism of militarism.  In fact, Japan never had a war with Korea during 20th century.  For annexation, Japan didn't use military power, but used diplomatic means.

Therefore, other Asian countries that have fought with Japan have never asked to stop using the Rising Sun Flag except Korea.

Korea never had a war with Japan.  On the contrary, Japan and Korea Fought together during WW2, because Korea was a part of Japan.  Korea claims Rising Sun Flag should be banned because it's a symbol of militarism.  It's strange, because they were not even war victim but perpetrators.  There were 800 thousand Korean males were applied to join Japanese Imperial Army voluntary, and 242 thousand Korean origin joined them.  To join Japanese Imperial Army was really popular in Korea at that time, so those applicants had to take an exam to join it.  In the end of WW2, 148 Korean origin army became war criminals and got punished.

It's very strange, Korean think they are victims.

Korean actions don't stop just claiming Rising Sun Flag, but start claiming Fukushima radiation problem for Tokyo Olympics.  They simply want to humiliate Japan more.  Tokyo Olympics became the perfect next target for them.

Their strategy is to make the Olympics to fail, or at best not be able to hold it.  They try to damage the image of Japan by bashing the Rising Sun Flag, and start to point out Fukushima's radioactive rate to make terrify about Japan for people who don't know much about Japan.

Korea released a counterfeit map of radioactive contamination.

This map uses the unit of “Becquerel”. Scientifically, the unit called "Becquerel" represents the amount of radioactive contamination such as soil, food, or other things. The map should use Sievert instead of Becquerel, because Sievert expresses the magnitude of biological effects of living body exposure.

You can rest assured, because the air dose Sievert in Tokyo is one third of Seoul in Korea.  Also, Fukushima's one is no different from that of Seoul.  South Korea is appealing about the dangers of radiation, but when the Olympics are held, it they are willing to participate as a joint team with North Korea.  How selfish they are!

Again, Korea use as a tool to make the Olympic fail by bashing Rising Sun Flag.   They try really hard to imprint the same image as the Harken Kreutz to the international community.

Korea try to provide damage to Tokyo Olympic by promoting a bad image of Rising Sun Flag.

They are trying to use the Rising Sun Flag as an excuse to cause problems among spectators.  Seo Kyoung-Duk, a leader of Rising Sun Flag bashing of VANK (a cyber terrorism group supported by South Korean government), threatened that they don't know what's going happen during Tokyo Olympic if there is any Rising Sun Flag exist in the stand.

If Japan stop using the Rising Sun Flag, it will be their success.

In fact, many of Koreans know the true meaning of the Rising Sun Flag. Actually, the Rising Sun Flag is a very congratulatory symbol for Japanese celebrations.

In the Japanese foreign minister department explain about Rising Sun Flag as following:

"The design of the Asahi (Rising Sun) Flag is numerous seen in daily life of Japan, such as in fishermen's banners hoisted to signify large catch of fish, flags to celebrate childbirth, and in flags for seasonal festivities."

So Rising Sun Flag is used for sports and it support in the meaning of a prayer for victory.

This is very different from the fact that Harken Kreutz which is a symbol of the Nazi organization and its supremacy.  If you can stop to use the Rising Sun Flag, which is the heart of Japanese people, Korean harassment of Japan will be a great success.  Then, they will gain a great satisfaction, and will keep on bashing Japan forever.

As I mentioned at the beginning, in Korea, declining the government's support rate is the main motivation for attacking Japan, they can rise its rate by doing so.  Korea is using the Olympics as part of its anti-Japan movement.  So, S.Korean government can have solidify domestic support.

This is the political use of Olympics which is prohibiting.

Japan should firmly resists these Korean acts, and make the Olympics a success.
